Message The answer to your question, as you so cleverly worded it, is no.

When a motor goes, it doesn't necessarily mean that a chip was the cause. Just like posting a bunch of dyno sheets for the sheep to see doesn't necessarily mean your chips or tunes are the best thing since sliced bread. It's just a ploy for damage control and to bring out the flag wavers.

However, you and I both know there's really only one thing that continuously detroys VG30 motors and that's detonation. The tune and the chip are the core of the equation even though elements like gas, weather and the cars condition play a role as well. You actually bring up a good point in above post where you say "My programs will hit a solid 11.5:1 A/F ratio when there are no problems with the car". Unfortunately, these cars are pretty complex or at the very least have nearly two-of-everything that can fail. So little and not-so-little issues come up all the time.

When those issues arise, the cars with your chips seem to blow up a lot sooner than those with JWT. I don't have to have my finger up Jim Wolf's ass to know they are safer overall. Whether it's from the core tune or from better customer support and not fucking up something in the chain. That's all I've ever said.

"If I'm an asshole it's only because I've been turned into one by the sheer
amount of stupid people and stupid logic that dominate Twinturbo.net today."
